Altered Pages challenge #9 Shoes

Hi Everyone, this is my entry for a Beautiful challenge at Altered Pages entitled 'Shoes'. Well I will be honest and say that I do Love them and have a few pairs. Ones I can walk in and ones that look great but I prefer to look at than go out in!  Anyway I digress, I thought it would be nice to make a little Vintage style hanging that I could pop in my bedroom, something really pretty and girly with a hint of shabby/altered Vintage style. I used a Digital kit called 'Not Too Shabby' by G&T Designs for the images some of the paper and shoes.
Arranged the images, word art and blended before printing.  From Altered Pages I used some 6 x 6 card, pearlised water colours and an ever so cute little crown from Leaky Shed that I painted and glittered. I cut out a piece of cardboard and distressed the edges with Vintage photo ink. Once dry painted on glitter gel for girly sparkle. Inked the edges of the 6x6 paper and then glued on. Cut out the shoes and imaged paper arranged and then attached the little crown. On the reverse side added a ribbon loop. I also printed a little double sided insert for a key ring that matches the theme x

A new Serif Craft Artist compatible category at E-scape And Scrap And Useful Info.

This week E-scape And Scrap have added a new category to the store.
It is called 'Serif Craft Artist compatible'
There are some Gorgeous kits already included from both myself and G&T Designs. More will be added in due course. Below is some Information that explains how it works:

*When I Initially design my kits I create folders which contain:

  • Elements as png images
  • Frames and Quick pages if included as png images
  • Papers as jpegs

These file formats are compatible with a large range of software including Photoshop, PSE and can also be used in Craft Artist by importing them and then creating your own Digikits.
They are provided in zipped folders, downloadable from the store once payment has been processed.

The process:
You download and save the zip file/s to a  location on your computer.
You can then use Windows own ‘Extract’ feature to open each file in order to access the contents.
(Some people may have their own preferred file Extraction tools too).

1. Double click (or right-click) the zip file in Windows and look for the command to ‘Extract All’.
2. Click ‘Extract All’ – the Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders box appears.
3. Look at the highlighted destination path - Windows shows you the place it extracts the files to.
In these you will see your Elements/Frames/Papers in folders which are the kit contents.
These images can be used in various ways with your preferred software

As a user of both Craft Artist and Photoshop Elements Software I thought it would be Lovely to offer customers kits that still have the format above*  with the png and jpeg files.
Plus the optional download choice of a ready made Serif compatible Digikit for you.

The Process for the .Pack File:
Download this to your pc, you will notice it is in a zipped folder, which you do first unzip to access the pack file but once unzipped DO NOT try to open the .pack file directly. You can either cut/paste or copy pack files to the folder named ‘My Digikits’ that all Serif users have in the Documents area of their machines. Once the pack file has been placed inside ‘My Digikits’, it will show up in the Digikit Browser next time the software is opened.
I have these two kits now available in the optional Digikit format and will be adding more in due course.

Welcome if you are visiting here via Stamping Ground Blogspot
If you wish to find out more about WOYWW hosted by Julia x
please check them out and join in the fun.

Hope you are all having a Beautiful day and here's my week 206 entry for WOYWW. I am so thrilled about the Scrap page I made below, my Dear friend Michelle and I have known each other since babies and she often finds out old photos and reminds me of things we did as children. We now live about 200 miles apart but keep in touch. So this is us and her Dad John some time in the late 1970's. At this point in time no journalling, but I hope we can work out where we were and add to it.

It's been a great week with lots of Lovely things happening. I was surprised and thrilled to win another challenge at Altered Pages. Have been totally caught up in my Digital Crafting with new products going into store and working on several new ideas too. I have vowed to make myself some hand crafting time though as there are some more challenges I want to enter at Artful Times  with their Blooming Marvelous theme and the new May challenge at Altered Pages  Shoes. So by next weeks WOYWW I should have something to show including my Inky fingers and some paint etc x

Have a Great week Everyone

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 205

Welcome if you are visiting here via Stamping Ground Blogspot

please check them out and join in the fun.

It has been a busy couple of weeks with a variety of things to do from gardening, edging lawns, weeding and tidying to days out... We had a lovely afternoon at Lamport Hall in Northamptonshire, England. There was a wonderful arts and crafts fair, really enjoyed browsing all the stalls. Saw everything from wood turning, card makers, scrumptious homemade fudge, wool spinning and the rural museum was open to wander around too. The weather was kind and we sat in the sunshine drinking pop and chatting with people. I have been working on lots of different projects including Recipe cards for the new blog at E-scape And Scrap. A fair bit of Digital crafting done and some planning of handmade projects for the next few weeks ahead too.

I received a Beautiful prize all the way from the USA from Altered Pages.
It was for an entry in the March challenge there, Papers, paint, a stencil and sticks
Looking forward to playing with this x

Here is a Digital layout I made this week
The kit is 'Natural' by me and I edited it in CAP2 software. Using a punch tool to create the border frames.
I Love shadow boxes and was trying to achieve depth as though looking in.

Well lots of Gorgeous desks and projects to visit so I am off to hop
Have a Great week everyone
Heather x
